Jeffrey Dumlao’s passion for flowers began at a young age, and his love for floral design has shaped his career path. Born in the Philippines and raised in San Francisco, Jeffrey spent many years working at a floral shop called Chartreuse in Philadelphia during a brief stint on the East Coast before pursuing a master’s degree in international organizational leadership from Georgetown University. This led him to a successful career in human resources, most recently at UCSF. However, Jeffrey’s love for San Francisco and his desire to contribute to its post-COVID revival inspired him to leave the corporate world and open his dream floral boutique, Chartreuse by Roje. As the owner and head designer, Jeffrey cultivates a design philosophy that’s rooted in the idea that each arrangement starts with one stem of inspiration, bringing creativity and beauty to life in every bouquet. Jeffrey is an active member of the local community and takes pride in supporting the city’s growth. He is involved with the Castro Merchants Association, the Duboce Triangle Neighborhood Association, and the San Francisco Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce, all of which are working to build strong ties and promote the vibrant spirit of San Francisco.
